Ciner Glass Project For Lommel

Given the rising demand of container glass in the European market, Ciner Glass has recently been looking to invest in local production to supply the European beverage market. Various sites were researched and, eventually, we have chosen the strategic location of Kristalpark III in Lommel, Limburg, Flanders, Belgium for the construction of a new container glass production plant.

The facility will consist of two glass manufacturing furnaces, which will be realized in two phases, as well as warehouses for storing raw materials, waste and finished products. The construction of a state-of-the-art facility will not only directly support the global move away from plastic bottles and containers, but will create job opportunities and wider economic benefits for generations to come.

We intend to start supplying glass bottles from the Lommel-based facility to beverage producers across Europe as of 2024. The facility would become fully operational by 2025 with both glass making furnaces in operation.
